Trail Description
The Big Foot Trail loops around part of the village including historic Main Street and 5th Ave downtown. It was completed in 2013 as a way to help funnel visitors from the highway and hotel district into downtown and across the tracks to the businesses and organizations (ex. museum, library, legion, bakery, cafe). There are plenty of benches along the way and interpretive signs. It’s excellent for wheelchairs, bikes, rollerblades and strollers and offers great views.
Best Parts
Very accessible (alongside street with no curbs). Good views. Benches and interpretive signs. Passes the playground, downtown, Main St. and hotel district.
Worst Parts
Train tracks (train whistle).
How to access/where to park
The trail is adjacent to all of 5th Ave, some of Dogwood and some of Main St. A good place to start is Centennial Park.
